For buying in the app
Crypto.com publishes 0.8% on buy, sell and exchange, as principal. Revolut Standard and Plus start at 1.49% in the PDF, or at the minimum if that is higher, and the product spread is typically 0% to 3%. A purchase can cost more than 1.49% without the table fixing it. Each app’s screen is the figure for that transaction.
Revolut Ultra starts at 0.49% in the same PDF. Comparing only Standard’s first tier with 0.8% leaves out the plan and the spread.
For taking crypto or euros out
Crypto.com publishes €1 for a SEPA withdrawal and 0% for a bank-transfer deposit. Revolut, in the PDF, does not charge the deposit and charges a crypto withdrawal as a service fee plus network: £1 or equivalent on some assets and £3 or equivalent on the rest. It is not a SEPA withdrawal. Revolut’s bank euro is another contract.
Two company-custody models
Foris DAX MT Limited describes a pooled account segregated from its own estate. RDAEL describes a nominee, omnibus accounts and, on Revolut X, a platform between clients. Revolut’s app, according to the safeguarding summary, executes against RDAEL. Both authorisations being in ESMA does not make them the same service.
What to look at first
If you want a closed app percentage, read 0.8% and confirm the screen. If you want Revolut, add the fee, the spread and the plan. Hungary is not in the Revolut row used here; Malta is not in Crypto.com’s. Neither is a score.
