Compare funding and withdrawal costs.

Payment method, provider and network can change a purchase’s cost. Separate euro transfers from crypto transfers.

SEPA

Coming in by SEPA is free at Kraken, Bitstamp, Bitvavo, Bitpanda and OKX, according to their pages. Leaving is not: Kraken publishes €1, Bitstamp €3, and Bitvavo, Bitpanda and OKX say they do not charge the euro withdrawal. The bank, a correspondent or a SWIFT transfer can still charge. Kraken puts outgoing SWIFT at €5, with a €100 minimum.

At Coinbase, check your account’s method and displayed charge. Published Coinbase Exchange and legacy Coinbase Pro rates concern other products and do not automatically establish EEA Advanced costs.

Cards and wallets

The card is the expensive method on these tables. Kraken: €0.25 plus 3.75% on an EEA debit card, as a deposit. Bitstamp: 4% on an instant purchase by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay. Bitvavo: 1% on Apple Pay, Google Pay, card and PayPal. Bitpanda: 1.49% on PayPal, and the card according to the bank. For other OKX methods, consult the quote and charge for that transaction.

Bitvavo also contradicts its own EPS fee: 1.75% on the fee page and 0% in another article. Keep the amount on the screen.

The crypto-asset network

Depositing crypto is usually described as free. Withdrawing it is not. Bitvavo, on the day this was read, showed 0.000018 BTC and 0.00036 ETH. Kraken, Bitstamp, Bitpanda, OKX and Coinbase say the figure is confirmed at withdrawal, or that it changes with the network, and they do not leave a single number to copy. A transfer on the wrong network can be unrecoverable or cost a recovery attempt: Bitvavo publishes €50 where it can try.
