Treating the range as a stop
Leaving the range does not guarantee closing positions.
Practical guides
Futures Grid automates orders within a price range while retaining exposure to futures contracts. Follow the setup, interpret results and stop the strategy without confusing grid profits with the overall outcome.
Futures Grid automates orders within a price range while retaining exposure to futures contracts. Follow the setup, interpret results and stop the strategy without confusing grid profits with the overall outcome.
A futures listing does not establish that the contract supports grid strategies.
On the website, help places access under Futures → Grid. In the app, search for a pair in Markets and enter Grid from its trading screen. Check the module’s own list first: manual futures listings are not a universal list of available bots. If funding is not ready, depositing USDT on LBank explains the transfer and balance check.
Choose Manual to define parameters or inspect AI Strategy as a historical-data proposal. A suggested strategy and its backtested APR are neither real-account results nor a forecast. Where offered, transfer parameters to Manual and review them before accepting. This workflow does not copy a trader’s orders; LBank copy trading uses different setup and monitoring.
Intervals are arithmetic: each step separates levels by the same price amount.
The interval is the upper bound minus the lower bound divided by grid count. More divisions bring levels closer without automatically increasing returns: every fill has costs and needs sufficient size. The form determines the investment accepted for that configuration. Do not reuse another contract’s minimum or assume a small budget supports any number of orders.
Direction changes exposure; neutral does not mean the strategy is risk-free.
| Direction | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Long | Builds long exposure and sells at higher levels. |
| Short | Builds short exposure and buys back at lower levels. |
| Neutral | Combines longs below the reference and shorts above it. |
| Outside range | Expected order activity pauses; inspect any remaining positions. |
A Long Grid can accumulate floating losses as the contract falls despite completing profitable small cycles. A Short Grid faces the reverse problem on a rise. Range bounds organise orders; reaching them does not guarantee closing all exposure. Configure TP/SL when needed and review its conditions separately from the grid’s endpoints.
Also compare notional exposure with allocated capital. Leverage can make notional value exceed investment, amplifying the effect of a small move on that investment. Do not increase capital solely to make the form accept parameters outside your budget. Spot versus futures explains the distinction without treating the bot as a coin purchase.
Execution fees, funding and open losses belong alongside grid profit.
The product guide publishes 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker, using base VIP0 pricing without account VIP discounts. An immediate fill can pay taker; not every bot order necessarily receives maker pricing. Position funding is another component. Do not substitute spot rates or manual-futures terms belonging to another workflow.
Hypothetical BTCUSDT example without a live quote: assume the form accepts an allocation of 200 USDT, without establishing an actual minimum; a 95,000–105,000 range with ten grids spaces levels by 1,000. Suppose one cycle buys 0.001 BTC at 99,000 and sells it at 100,000: gross profit is 1 USDT. If both legs are maker, fees are 0.0198 and 0.02 USDT, leaving 0.9602 before funding and other positions. That amount does not determine the whole bot’s return.
If, in the same example, other positions carry an 8 USDT floating loss and net funding costs 0.10, those components combine to −7.1398 USDT. These are teaching figures, not LBank-calculated sizing or a recommended setup. They illustrate why counting green cycles does not replace checking funding, open exposure and the total balance.
Creating a strategy and seeing it operate are different states.
After confirmation, LBank creates a subaccount, transfers funds and initialises orders. Creating describes preparation; Running indicates strategy operation. Before repeating a creation that seems slow, check whether the first already exists. Grid-allocated funds are separated for that workflow, but separation is not a guarantee against losses.
From Positions → Futures Grid → Details, review Profit Details, Grid Information, Positions, Pending Grid Orders and Trade Records. Reconcile fills with still-open positions and funding. Adding margin and supported protections can change the setup, but additional capital does not remove the cause of a loss. Record the range and reason for intervention to distinguish a planned adjustment from reacting to the latest candle.
Stop cancels pending orders and closes positions at market, with possible slippage.
Under Positions → Futures Grid, select the strategy and use Stop. Check the Stopping transition before Stopped. Unfilled orders are cancelled and positions close at market during that process. The outcome can differ from the figure displayed when you pressed, especially as the book changes. Closing the app is not stopping the bot.
Afterwards, reconcile positions, orders, trades and released balance before withdrawing or opening another grid. Outside the range, decide according to actual exposure; waiting indefinitely is not a protective order. Compare automation with manual execution through the bot ranking and LBank manual-futures guide, without repeating their instructions for every adjustment.
Review these points before taking the next step.
Small checks for a more considered decision.
Leaving the range does not guarantee closing positions.
Include open losses, funding and fees.
Use Stop and verify termination.
No. It executes configured grid rules rather than thereby copying another trader’s account.
The product guide specifies base VIP0 pricing without applying the account VIP tier. Check updates in the module itself.
No. It can hold positions, incur costs and accumulate losses; outcomes depend on the market path and configuration.
It cancels pending orders and closes positions at market. Wait for Stopped and review the final outcome.
