How to copy trade on LBank: capital, limits and stopping

Prepare a futures copy allocation and retain control of the funds. The account, copy mode and exit process matter more than a prominently displayed return.

What to check first

Start by identifying the copy account LBank displays. Then review the trader, allocate capital, configure limits and prepare the exit. The relevant result is your own positions after costs, rather than a profit leaderboard without context.

1. Open futures copy trading and identify the model

LBank documents an independent FCT sub-account alongside older model instructions. Do not mix their funding workflows.

From Futures, open Copy Trading. The FCT architecture uses a dedicated account for copied trades and transfers funds from Spot; older instructions describe a shared main futures account. Identify the account and controls shown in your version before allocating capital. A visible Spot deposit does not mean copy funds are already available.

Use the LBank access route for account preparation and the USDT deposit tutorial for address, network and crediting checks. Manual futures trades are not needed to activate copying, and promotions or your VIP tier do not automatically carry into FCT. The LBank review distinguishes these products.

2. Inspect results before choosing a trader

Open a profile from Top Traders or All Traders and inspect more than its headline percentage.

Compare the reporting period, trade history and open exposure where displayed. A short curve may reflect favourable conditions; a high win rate can coexist with a large losing position still open. Check which metrics are realised, which include open positions and the capital basis used. Percentages from different periods or bases are not directly comparable.

Record the contracts used, frequency, sizing and treatment of losing exposure. Inspect the profile’s profit-sharing terms too. Following several traders is not necessarily diversification if all take the same asset direction. Copy-trading platforms provides alternatives, and LBank versus Bitget compares tools without turning a leaderboard into an automatic recommendation.

3. Set investment, copy mode and controls

Copy opens the profile’s setup. Choose allocated capital before deciding how each trade is replicated.

Before Start Copying Now, inspect investment, available per-trader or pair limits, selected contracts and the policy when the leader is liquidated. Separate a single-order stop from the stop for the whole relationship. Confirm displayed profit sharing and funds in the correct account. Slippage protection can reject a copy; it is not guaranteed improved execution.

4. Budget the allocation and read its result

Execution charges, funding and profit sharing are separate items.

FCT documents 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker at base VIP0, without inheriting the account’s higher VIP tier. For a hypothetical USDT 1,000 notional, a taker fill is USDT 0.60; entry and exit at unchanged size total 1.20 before funding and other effects. Another manual-futures product’s lowest rate is not the applicable copy rate.

As an allocation example, not a provider minimum, a USDT 500 budget and 20 margin per entry can commit 100 margin across five entries, with greater notional through leverage. A per-order limit is not a total exposure check. FCT net results account for funding and leader commissions; reconcile them with transfers and open positions before treating every balance change as performance.

5. Monitor positions and change parameters

Inspect your account’s actual copy, not just the leader’s published trades.

Open My and the trader or sub-account details to inspect available positions, orders and history. Compare your executed notional, entry and costs. For a missing trade, check funds, minimum size, caps, selected pairs and slippage protection. Capital, timing and position increases can make your result differ from the leader’s.

Control documentation places per-trader changes under My, Lead Trader, Current and Details, with Edit and Advanced Settings depending on version. Check which trades a change affects: older-model settings do not alter already copied positions. For a global control, distinguish notification, pause and disconnection, including remaining-position handling. A notification is not a closure.

6. Stop copying and handle remaining positions

Stopping new copies and closing existing trades must be verified separately.

Open the relationship you intend to stop, read remaining-position options and confirm the chosen action. Earlier documentation states that unfollowing does not itself remove open positions; they can remain and require manual closure. For FCT, use the policy and balance shown for that sub-account rather than assuming another version’s button behaves identically.

Afterwards, check positions, orders and available capital; retain closure, funding and profit-sharing history. Do not assume funds are withdrawable while a position remains open. The general copy-trading guide explains the mechanism, funding covers holding costs, and wallet withdrawals continues once funds are available to withdraw.

For independently trading altcoins, LBank versus Gate compares that task separately from FCT copying.

For another platform’s copying formats: LBank vs BingX.

A grid executes rules rather than following a trader’s decisions. The LBank Futures Grid tutorial lets you compare that automation with copying.

Final checklist

Review these points before taking the next step.

  • Account model identified.
  • Trader period and exposure reviewed.
  • Capital and contracts selected.
  • Limits and exit policy understood.
  • FCT fees, funding and sharing separated.
  • Final positions and funds checked.

Common mistakes

Small checks for a more considered decision.

Using manual VIP pricing for FCT

The copy product documents its own base rate.

Reading only headline ROI

Inspect period, open exposure and percentage basis.

Stopping without inspecting exposure

Unfollow does not necessarily remove all positions.

FAQs

Must I fund FCT separately?

FCT documents a Spot transfer to an independent sub-account. Earlier documentation describes a different workflow; follow the one shown in your account.

Does a higher VIP level lower FCT copy fees?

FCT documentation specifies base VIP0 copy rates rather than the account’s higher VIP tier.

Why was a trade not copied?

Check funds, order minimum, caps, contract selection and slippage protection before adding capital.

Does unfollowing close everything?

Do not assume it. Read that version’s policy and inspect positions and orders after ending the relationship.
