Buying crypto
ASTER can be bought on the ASTER/USDT spot markets of LBank and Aster. Start with USDT, choose the token purchase rather than a derivatives contract, and plan the BNB Chain destination before withdrawing.
ASTER is linked to Aster’s trading ecosystem, but buying the token and using every product on the platform are different decisions. This guide follows two documented spot routes: a centralised exchange account on LBank and Aster Spot. The practical questions are how to obtain usable USDT, how the order fills, which fee applies and where the token can be sent. You do not need to open a perpetual or use leverage to complete either purchase.
Both routes use the same quote asset, but funding and custody work differently.
LBank publishes ASTER/USDT in its spot market. A purchase uses USDT from the relevant account balance and credits ASTER after execution. Select cash spot rather than a margin view or an unrelated derivatives contract with a similar ticker.
Aster’s spot market data also lists ASTER/USDT as trading. Its funding flow uses the platform’s deposit and asset screens; connecting a wallet does not by itself make every wallet token available to the order book. Our LBank review and Aster review explain the wider tools without making the token purchase depend on using them.

The asset has ecosystem and governance functions; buying it does not activate other services.
The documented ASTER token is a BEP-20 asset on BNB Chain. Its official contract is 0x000Ae314E2A2172a039B26378814C252734f556A. A contract identifies the asset; it is not a deposit address to which you should send your purchase funds.
Holding ASTER and trading derivatives through Aster are separate activities. A perpetual contract can involve collateral, leverage, funding and liquidation, while a spot purchase gives you tokens. Likewise, buying ASTER does not automatically enrol you in a fee option, a staking programme or copy trading. Choose those functions separately if they match your needs, rather than expecting them to start with the purchase.
Check the asset and network on both sides before sending funds.
For LBank, open the USDT deposit screen and select a network supported by both the sending account and your LBank destination. Copy the destination shown and include any required information. A transfer can be on-chain but not yet available to trade; wait for the credited balance and move it to Spot if the account requires that step.
Aster documents Account → Deposit and a BSC/BNB Chain USDT route. Follow the current account screen for the supported network and destination. Sending from a wallet requires the network’s gas asset, BNB for BNB Chain. Keep enough to make the transfer instead of swapping the entire wallet balance and leaving no gas. If starting with euros, acquiring USDT is an additional purchase with its own price and payment costs.
Use the spot pair and check whether the amount field is in tokens or USDT.
Open LBank Spot, search ASTER/USDT and choose Buy. A market order seeks immediate execution against the available book. Check the estimated total and balance before confirming; the average price may differ from the last displayed trade. A large order relative to available depth can fill across several prices.
For a limit order, enter the maximum price you accept and the ASTER quantity. Inspect the USDT total before submitting. The order can remain open or fill partially, reserving the unspent portion. Use open orders and trade history to distinguish what is pending from what you own. You can create the account before depositing USDT, then return to the order process.
Fund the platform first, then select the cash token market.
After the deposit is credited, open Aster Spot and select ASTER/USDT. Check the available USDT balance, choose market or limit and review price, quantity and total. The presence of a wallet connection does not mean the trading balance has already received the deposit.
Inspect the executed quantity and commission after the trade. If funds are assigned to another product, follow the account’s transfer flow rather than opening a perpetual merely because collateral appears there. Aster offers more than one trading product; an ASTER ticker under derivatives does not complete the token purchase described here. Keep the spot balance and any derivatives margin separate in your records.
Use the rate for your market and account, not the lowest number from another product.
LBank documents general spot maker fees of 0%–0.2% and taker fees of 0.1%–0.2%. Those ranges do not establish a single effective ASTER/USDT rate for every account. Check the pair and account conditions before placing the order; a VIP floor or an earlier campaign is not a universal price.
Aster publishes base spot fees of 0.005% maker and 0.04% taker. A limit order can still be taker when it crosses existing liquidity. Account-specific conditions and optional fee settings can change the effective charge, so this guide does not assume that a discount has been activated. Compare the entire funding and withdrawal route as well as the execution percentage.
| Cost | LBank ASTER/USDT | Aster ASTER/USDT |
|---|---|---|
| Trading | General maker 0%–0.2%; taker 0.1%–0.2%; verify pair/account | Base maker 0.005%; taker 0.04% |
| Funding | USDT transfer and any prior conversion | USDT deposit route and source-network gas |
| Withdrawal | Asset/network fee and minimum on screen | Supported destination and fee on the withdrawal screen |
The following price and fee assumptions illustrate the arithmetic, not a current quote.
Suppose 100 USDT buys ASTER at an average of 1 USDT per token. The gross amount is 100 ASTER. If your account confirms a 0.2% trading fee charged in the purchased asset, the fee is 0.2 ASTER and the balance received is 99.8 ASTER before withdrawal. A different fee currency changes how you reconcile the balances.
At the same hypothetical execution price, a 0.04% charge would be 0.04 ASTER and a 0.005% charge would be 0.005 ASTER. This isolates the percentage calculation; it does not guarantee identical liquidity, prices or total journey costs on two platforms. Compare actual fills rather than treating the example as a promise of which exchange produces the larger net withdrawal.
| Assumption | Gross tokens | Fee if paid in ASTER |
|---|---|---|
| 100 USDT at 1 USDT/ASTER | 100 ASTER | Before fees |
| Conditional 0.2% rate | 100 ASTER | 0.2 ASTER |
| 0.04% rate | 100 ASTER | 0.04 ASTER |
| 0.005% rate | 100 ASTER | 0.005 ASTER |
Trade history is more informative than an order-submitted message.
Look for the executed quantity, average price, total USDT spent and fee asset. An open limit order may have bought only part of the intended amount. Cancelling the remainder releases the reserved budget but does not sell the tokens already acquired.
Record the net ASTER balance separately from any remaining USDT. Save the trade history and, if you withdraw, the transaction reference. These records help distinguish execution costs from transfer costs and make it easier to locate a discrepancy without guessing whether an unfilled order or a pending deposit caused it.
The receiving wallet must support the same asset and network as the withdrawal.
Open Withdraw ASTER and inspect the networks actually offered by the account. The official BEP-20 contract establishes ASTER on BNB Chain, but does not prove that every exchange offers every withdrawal route. Copy your receiving wallet address, not the token contract address, and confirm that it can display and hold the official asset.
Check the minimum, fee and net quantity before submitting. Aster documents spot withdrawals through Assets → Withdraw on BSC; follow the live screen for the destination and supported asset. Later transactions from a BNB Chain wallet need BNB for gas. A test withdrawal can help confirm a route when appropriate, provided its cost is included and you wait for receipt before moving the rest.
Review these points before taking the next step.
Small checks for a more considered decision.
The contract identifies ASTER. Deposits and withdrawals need the destination provided by the receiving account or wallet.
Collateral and contract exposure do not equal a balance of ASTER tokens available to withdraw.
General ranges, VIP conditions and product-specific schedules must not be mixed.
The platform’s trading balance must actually be funded before it can pay for the spot order.
Yes. The documented LBank and Aster spot markets both list ASTER/USDT. Fund the correct trading balance and choose Spot rather than a derivatives view.
The documented token is BEP-20 on BNB Chain. Check the withdrawal and receiving screens for compatibility; the token contract is not your receiving wallet address.
Do not assume that. Holding the token and choosing any optional fee-payment or account setting are separate actions with their own conditions.
A limit order needs matching liquidity at an acceptable price. Filled tokens belong to the executed portion; the remainder may stay open until filled or cancelled.
