BTCC vs Phemex

BTCC and Phemex are worth comparing by how contracts will execute. BTCC’s reference is lower for taker, while Phemex’s is lower for maker; spot follows another schedule. Margin and the exit workflow complete a decision that one minimum rate cannot resolve.

Products and trading

Spot, USDT-, USDC- or coin-margined futures, futures copying and a demo environment. Spot and contract fees are listed separately.

Spot and contracts: acquiring coins and trading margin exposure are different workflows.

Spot: maker, taker and buying

Spot: 0.20% maker and 0.30% taker. The futures VIP schedule is another mode and does not automatically reduce coin-buying fees.

VIP 0 spot: 0.10% maker / 0.10% taker. Check the applicable rate in VIP Portal.

Discounts and tiers

Futures VIP 7: 0.01% maker and 0.015% taker, subject to tier. The ordinary example uses VIP 0 rather than the VIP 7 minimum.

Tiers consider balances, volume and VIP criteria. Professional minima do not apply to a VIP 0 account.

Futures: fees

Live schedule, VIP 0: 0.03% maker and 0.055% taker. Opening and closing are charged per execution on notional.

VIP 0 contracts: 0.01% maker / 0.06% taker per fill on notional.

Contracts, margin and funding

USDT, USDC and coin-margined contracts change margin and settlement currency. Funding passes between longs/shorts; the reference is every eight hours at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC, subject to contract.

USDT linear perpetuals and cross/isolated modes; shared balances change collateral exposure.

Copy trading

Replicates openings, closings and adjustments with fixed or proportional margin. A copied order is charged like the equivalent trade; futures fees, funding and strategy terms still matter.

Which fits the way you trade?

The choice depends on what you want to do, rather than a single fee.

Futures taker

BTCC has the lower of the cited VIP 0 taker references.

Maker or spot buying

Phemex offers separate contract-maker and spot schedules to evaluate.

Margin control

Check collateral, shared balances and closing costs before choosing.

Compare contracts without confusing spot

BTCC offers spot, futures and copying; Phemex documents separate spot and contract schedules. Choose spot for coins intended for a wallet. A long Bitcoin-price contract does not necessarily deliver withdrawable BTC. The BTCC and Phemex reviews expand each account before funding the chosen product.

These are documented international products rather than a universal European offer. Contracts require choosing margin and settlement currency; spot requires choosing payment balance and exit network. Spot and futures explains why mixing the goals produces a misleading budget even when both buttons display the same underlying asset.

VIP 0: BTCC taker and Phemex maker

BTCC’s VIP 0 futures schedule lists 0.03% maker and 0.055% taker. Phemex publishes VIP 0 contracts at 0.01% maker and 0.06% taker, directing users to VIP Portal for actual account pricing. Phemex has the lower maker reference; BTCC has the lower taker reference. Account tier, contract and mode can change the comparison.

Hypothetical example: one USDT 1,000-notional fill costs 0.30 maker or 0.55 taker at those BTCC rates, versus 0.10 or 0.60 on Phemex. Taker entry and exit at unchanged notional total USDT 1.10 versus 1.20 in execution fees. Funding, slippage and size changes are excluded. Posting just USDT 100 margin does not change the 1,000-notional fee basis.

The result changes if entry adds liquidity and exit takes it. With the same hypothetical USDT 1,000 notional on each side, BTCC totals 0.30 plus 0.55, or USDT 0.85 in execution fees. Phemex totals 0.10 plus 0.60, or 0.70. This combination favours a different reference from the two-taker example because the workflow changed. It assumes neither that a resting entry will fill nor that closing notional stays constant. Review actual executions before attributing the difference to the brand, and keep funding and collateral changes outside this execution-only subtotal.

Maker pricing depends on execution

A crossing limit can still be taker, while a resting instruction may remain unfilled or execute partly. Selecting Limit does not automatically capture a schedule’s maker advantage. Inspect cap price, fills and outstanding quantity. If the strategy needs immediate entry, taker pricing and average fill are more relevant than a theoretical instruction that never executes.

BTCC documents a virtual-balance demo for practice, rather than evidence of live liquidity or withdrawable funds. Before moving a setup into live trading, understand reducing or closing positions and cancelling outstanding instructions. Order types provides examples; an exit should not rely on guessing which button opened the original position.

Collateral, funding and copying are separate

Phemex isolated mode allocates position margin, while cross mode can use shared balance. BTCC’s USDT-, USDC- and coin-margined contracts change collateral and settlement currency. A lower execution rate does not itself offset unexpected collateral exposure. Establish which balance is committed and how other account positions are affected.

Funding is separate, using the contract’s rate and interval. BTCC copying replicates operations with strategy terms and equivalent execution charges, without removing funding or adverse price movement. Manual pricing should not be assigned to every programme without inspecting its rules. Funding and copy trading cover holding costs and controls.

Spot buying, deposits and exiting funds

BTCC spot lists 0.20% maker and 0.30% taker; Phemex VIP 0 lists 0.10% on both sides. On USDT 1,000, reference taker execution costs 3 versus 1, excluding funding and withdrawal. BTCC’s 0.055% futures rate is not a coin-buying price. For buying and holding, product selection matters more than a contract maker minimum.

Both document crypto deposits without their own fee, while the sender can charge. Phemex displays a coin/network-specific fixed withdrawal charge and minimum; BTCC likewise requires inspecting the actual exit. Wallet funding needs matching asset and chain. Stablecoins covers balance preparation, and transfers helps verify the route.

BTCC and Phemex questions

Which has lower contract fees? At the cited VIP 0 references, Phemex is lower for maker and BTCC for taker. Is the fee charged on margin? The example’s execution fee uses notional, and closing can be charged again.

Does a demo prove live results? No; it supports practising mechanics. Does a larger withdrawal always cost more? Phemex describes a coin/network-specific fixed charge rather than a percentage of amount; also inspect minimums and product terms.

Choose for execution rather than an advertised minimum

BTCC deserves attention when its futures, demo or copying workflow fits and the compared taker rate is relevant. Phemex is worth evaluating for contract maker execution or VIP 0 spot pricing. Choose after checking actual account rates and holding costs, without turning small fee differences into a universal safety or quality verdict.

If still choosing between coin ownership and exposure, define the goal before funding. BTCC vs Bybit and futures platforms provide alternatives; total cost adds funding, trading and exit. The useful platform is one whose selected product you can budget and manage.

How to make the decision

  1. Define the trade

Buying and withdrawing coins, margined contracts and copying require different products.

  2. Calculate the whole journey

Add opening and closing execution where applicable, funding and moving money; use the rate for your trading mode.

  3. Choose the tools you need

Compare orders, capital controls, API permissions or demo practice according to how you trade.

The decision depends on how you trade.
