Bybit vs MEXC: the lower taker is not the first place.

MEXC publishes a 0% maker and a standard 0.05% taker. Bybit publishes 0.1000% on each side for crypto-to-crypto. The ranking order does not deny that difference.

The difference that is published

MEXC, guide of 20 October 2026: 0% maker and 0.05% taker on the standard. Bybit, global article of 2 September 2026: 0.1000% and 0.1000% on crypto-to-crypto, VIP 0. On a standard pair and without a token, MEXC charges less taker.

That stops being so in MEXC’s zones: Innovation and MEME+ are at a 0.08% taker from 30 September 2026 and Assessment at 0.20%. It also stops being so on Bybit fiat, at a 0.2000% taker under 100,000 USD. And do not compare either with Bybit EU’s 0.2500%.

Custody and a licence are not swapped

MEXC (Comoros) Ltd says in the contract that it holds the assets. The Seychelles FSA says MX Global Ltd operates the site with no VASP licence. Global Bybit identifies BVAPO and does not bring the European custody PDF onto this row.

Neither is in the MiCA file read on 2 November 2026. There is no MEXC affiliate signup. Bybit’s remains the link already approved, when the country rule allows it.

Withdrawing is not in the taker

MEXC charges no crypto deposit and charges the network to withdraw; an internal transfer between users carries no fee. Bybit does not publish one withdrawal cost in the global fee article.

A 0.05% taker can sit next to an expensive withdrawal, and a 0.1000% next to a cheap one. Each screen controls.

Why Bybit can still be listed first

On the international ranking, Bybit takes the first position because of the owner’s commercial priority. MEXC is second because its published standard taker is lower than the group’s 0.10%. The page says so in the note, not with a featured label.

If your MEXC pair is in Assessment, the 0.20% taker no longer beats Bybit’s 0.1000%. Each profile keeps that small print.
