Assigning Classic to EU
The tutorial covers the international product, not European services.
Practical guides
This tutorial follows international Copy Trading Classic and its USDT perpetuals. It does not assign that function to Bybit EU or confuse following a trader with buying spot coins.
Follow the Master profile through to your account’s positions and cancellation of the relationship. Identify Classic first, inspect which parameters the Master permits and decide how open trades should be handled before starting to copy.
Bybit publishes different copy products. This workflow uses Classic, not Pro or TradFi.
In the international product, open Copy Trading and choose Classic. Verify the name before allocating funds: the logo does not establish terms, account model or markets. General registration and access to this product are separate steps. For Bybit EU, spot automation tools follow another workflow; Classic contracts should not be inferred from a European tutorial.
Use the existing Bybit access route and check the products offered by your account before funding a strategy. Getting started on Bybit covers registration and a first purchase, while the review distinguishes tools and scopes. Here the task is managing a copy allocation, without treating account creation as a promise of every product.
Open the trader’s profile from the leaderboard and compare the trading pattern, not just rank.
Review period, history, open positions and drawdown where available. Determine whether the displayed percentage reflects closed trades or coexists with open losses. Inspect contracts, entry frequency and simultaneous exposure. Two profiles with the same ROI can involve very different sizing and loss tolerance. Record the starting metrics so later evaluation concerns your own copied account.
The profile shows the applicable minimum investment and profit share. Classic documentation generally starts at USDT 100, but the Master Trader can require more; use the profile requirement. Do not automatically distribute the whole balance among top-ranked names. Bybit versus Bitget and copy-trading platforms compare tools before choosing a relationship.
Copy opens relationship settings. Check which parameters you can actually change before confirming.
| Setting | Function | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Investment | Capital allocated to the trader | Funding source and profile minimum |
| Smart Copy | Proportional replication and Master leverage | Resulting size in your account |
| Advanced Copy | Fixed margin and available custom settings | Per-order margin versus total |
| SyncMaster Forced Sync | Master-set values | More Settings can lock editing |
| Trailing / copy stop | Exit or termination conditions | Basis, threshold and execution price |
Inspect mode, contracts and permitted controls in More Settings. Smart Copy follows Master leverage; Advanced Copy offers documented custom settings. Forced Sync can prevent parameter changes, so a disabled field is not necessarily a technical fault. Review investment and terms before Copy Now. Changing copy mode requires ending and restarting the relationship; it is not a live checkbox change.
Classic copies new trades from the start of the relationship; it does not assume your account holds the trader’s earlier portfolio.
Open My Trades and User Center (Follower). Inspect Trades and Details for your positions, fills and orders. Check your entry, quantity, margin and liquidation rather than only the Master’s. For a missing trade, inspect funds, minimum order cost, caps and execution controls. Copyguard or slippage limits may prevent entry; every signal is not guaranteed to be replicated.
The centre supports viewing and, where permitted, changing settings, adjusting investment and managing TP/SL. Reducible funds can be lower than total equity because of positions or minimum requirements. After changing margin, leverage or allocation, check which trades are affected and what remains open. Adding funds solely to compensate for failed entries is not a diagnosis.
The Master’s displayed performance is not a follower’s guaranteed net balance.
Your copy result depends on fills, contract fees, funding and the applicable profit share. Bybit EU’s 0.25% spot rate is not a price for international perpetual copying. Inspect the product’s effective rate and your own records. Entry differences, skipped trades, capital and starting time can create a different path despite choosing the same trader.
Hypothetically, a USDT 300 allocation falling to 270 before new transfers is down 30, but realised loss, unrealised loss and charges must be separated to understand it. A 10% trailing condition on a hypothetical peak of 330 has a theoretical level of 297; actual exit can differ. Neither example predicts performance or guarantees a stop. See funding and total costs.
Bybit distinguishes closing a position from cancelling the Master relationship. Decide which action you need.
From copied positions, Close exits a trade and Close All manages the relevant trader’s set. The documented manual closures execute at market. Inspect selection and size before confirmation, then review fills. Closing one trade does not necessarily stop the relationship from following later signals.
When cancelling the copy, options include market-closing remaining positions or retaining only the trader’s closing signals, without new entries or position changes. Read the selected option and inspect residual exposure. After cancellation and closure of all positions, documentation returns funds to Funding. For automation you configure yourself, see Bybit trading bots rather than a Master-led strategy.
For platform selection, Bybit versus BingX places Classic alongside other futures-copy formats.

Review these points before taking the next step.
Small checks for a more considered decision.
The tutorial covers the international product, not European services.
It can prevent changes available with another Master relationship.
Check whether the relationship still follows new signals.
No. It covers international USDT-perpetual Classic. The bots guide separately identifies documented European spot tools.
Meet the profile requirement. Documentation generally starts at USDT 100 and allows a higher Master requirement.
Documentation requires cancelling and starting again. Inspect the treatment of open positions first.
It depends on the chosen option: market closure or retaining closing signals. Inspect remaining positions before considering the exit complete.
