OKX pricing changes before you place the order
The main table compares European products. Bybit EU lists a unified entry rate of 0.25%; OKX Europe without an X-Perps account starts at 0.20% maker and 0.35% taker. In that case OKX charges less for adding liquidity and Bybit less for taking it. Neither brand wins both execution types. Identify the account setup separately from the order you intend to place.
OKX lists another spot schedule for accounts with X-Perps: 0.08% maker and 0.10% taker at the stated entry tier. This is neither a universal promotion nor the rate for every new account. If you already have that setup, use it in the calculation. If you only want to buy coins, assess the product for that need rather than opening another service solely for a lower rate. The Bybit review and OKX review explain their buying modes.
A €1,000 order: when the fee advantage changes
On a hypothetical €1,000 notional fill, Bybit EU would charge €2.50. OKX without X-Perps would charge €2 maker or €3.50 taker. Under its X-Perps-account spot schedule, those amounts would be €0.80 and €1 respectively. These are per-fill fees, excluding spread, slippage, funding and withdrawal. A later sale incurs another charge on that sale’s notional, which need not remain €1,000.
A limit order can take liquidity when it accepts an available offer. Selecting Limit does not automatically earn OKX’s maker rate. Bybit EU removes the fee distinction at its entry tier, but a resting order can still remain unfilled. The market and limit order guide explains that decision, while the low-fee ranking supplies other benchmarks without treating an isolated percentage as total cost.
SEPA funding and card buying are different routes
OKX documents EUR SEPA deposits and withdrawals without its own charge, although the bank may charge. Bybit EU displays the cost of the selected fiat method. Check the credited balance and whether it can fund the chosen pair. Card buying or a quick quote should not be budgeted with the cost of transferring money into an order book: other prices and providers can apply.
For small, frequent purchases, compare the reverse route too. A withdrawal charge or balance conversion can outweigh a small trading-rate saving. For buying bitcoin from a bank balance, the euro buying guide covers the steps; the Bitcoin exchange ranking helps choose a venue first.
Spot order books and international products
For a spot purchase, the core tasks are choosing a pair, size and order type, reviewing the estimate and finding open orders. Bybit EU supports market and limit orders on its European book. OKX distinguishes the book from a simple quoted purchase with spread. More markets do not reduce the decisions involved in buying one coin and withdrawing it; compare the screen you will use, not every feature of the group.
International Bybit documents futures, copying and automation under its own terms. Its 0.10% VIP 0 crypto-to-crypto spot rate does not replace the European 0.25% in this table. X-Perps is likewise separate from OKX spot even though it affects the account’s fee schedule. For contracts, use spot versus futures and the futures ranking rather than applying spot fees to derivatives.
Buying for withdrawal: compare wallet delivery
Once purchased, the platform holds the balance until you request a withdrawal. Match the asset and network to the recipient and compare the minimum, charge and net amount. A generic network fee cannot settle the choice: BTC, ETH and stablecoins have different routes. A 0x address alone does not identify the receiving chain.
If ETH is intended for an app, establish where you need gas before comparing delivery from either account. The Ethereum guide and exchange transfer guide take the process further without confusing a spot purchase with funds already available in a wallet.
Which fits your way of trading?
Bybit EU is straightforward to budget for a new account using market and limit orders without an entry maker discount. OKX without X-Perps is worth comparing for resting orders; an account already using X-Perps calls for a different fee comparison. For occasional euro purchases, add funding and cash-out costs before deciding.
A useful choice reproduces your next transaction. Use your actual tier and setup, the pair’s executable price and the destination of the funds. To compare a quoted purchase and an aggregator too, Bybit vs Bitpanda offers a different alternative, while the beginners ranking focuses on understandable buying routes.
Is Bybit cheaper than OKX for European spot?
It depends on setup and execution. Entry OKX without X-Perps charges 0.20% maker and 0.35% taker versus Bybit EU’s unified 0.25%. An OKX account with X-Perps uses another spot schedule.
Does the table use international Bybit fees?
No. It compares Bybit EU and OKX Europe. International crypto-to-crypto pricing is discussed separately, without assigning it to a European account.
Does a limit order guarantee an OKX maker fee?
No. An order filling against available liquidity may pay taker fees. Check how it would execute and what remains resting on the book.
