Best low-fee crypto exchanges

A low rate only helps when it applies to your product. We start with international USDT spot orders and separate euro alternatives, then consider conversion, market spread and withdrawal costs.

Best low-fee crypto exchanges

Positions 1–5 compare ordinary international USDT spot, prioritising taker then maker. MEXC/Pionex tie on taker; Binance/Bitget tie on both sides and are equivalent on execution price. The three EUR alternatives are unranked.

How we build this selection

Comparable standard spot rates are ordered without optional discounts: taker first, then maker for ties. Funding and exit are assessed separately. EUR alternatives remain outside the USDT order because starting with euros is a different transaction path.

Futures prices, another account’s VIP minimum and affiliate remuneration do not determine this order. A fee tie does not establish better execution or security; the actual pair and received amount determine the final cost.

Methodology →Transparency →
  • Product and currency

USDT spot and EUR workflows remain separate.

  • Ordinary rate

Base maker/taker before token discounts, VIP or campaigns.

  • Execution

Spread and depth can outweigh a rate saving.

  • Entry and exit

Add conversion, deposits and withdrawals to the budget.

The lowest fee does not always deliver more coins

This ranking starts with one question: the execution cost of a spot trade before the rest of the transaction path. Ourbit leads on its current 0% maker and taker schedule, but that does not make every market the cheapest final purchase. Thin liquidity can move a market order through worse price levels. A bid/ask spread still exists when trading fees are zero. Compare the amount actually received for the same asset and notional. The total-cost guide adds funding and exit to execution.

Understanding the 0.05% and 0.10% ties

MEXC and Pionex both charge 0.05% taker for the compared products: USDT 0.50 on USDT 1,000. MEXC precedes Pionex because its standard maker rate is zero rather than 0.05%; taker-only users gain nothing from that distinction on this example. Pionex’s built-in automation is a separate feature. Binance and Bitget tie at 0.10% on both sides before discounts. Consecutive placement does not imply a price advantage. A crossing limit order can be taker, as the order-type guide explains.

EUR 1,000 and USDT 1,000 are different comparisons

Starting with euros produces a different calculation. A EUR 1,000 Finst trade at 0.15% costs EUR 1.50. Bitvavo’s entry EUR tier gives EUR 1.50 maker or EUR 2.50 taker; Fusion’s single 0.25% fee gives EUR 2.50. Those amounts are not converted to USDT or combined with another brand’s international fiat purchase. Buying stablecoins first and then sending them can erase a rate saving. Bitvavo versus Bitpanda compares two euro workflows. Use the actual product rather than the brand name alone.

Simple buying, quoted prices and order books

Simple buying usually provides a quote to review before confirmation, but may not use maker/taker or a Pro screen’s rate. Bitpanda’s simple BTC price includes a 0.99% premium, unlike Fusion. Kraken instant buying combines 1% with spread, while Pro has another schedule. Coinbase shows simple-buy fees and spread in preview; Advanced pricing depends on account and volume. Those methods serve other needs and are not assigned invented numerical positions here. Compare money paid, coins received and any payment-method charge.

VIP and tokens: calculate the saving you can actually obtain

Discounts have conditions. Binance lists 0.075% with BNB fee payment and Bitget 0.08% with BGB, equivalent to USDT 0.75 and USDT 0.80 on a USDT 1,000 fill. They do not set the base order because token payment and balance are required. MEXC distinguishes MX deduction and special zones. VIP levels can require rolling trading volume rather than a deposit, while unnecessary turnover to reach a tier costs money too. Start with your actual rate and assess optional savings separately.

Withdrawals can outweigh several trading fees

A hypothetical buy and sell at 0.10% on the same USDT 1,000 notional total USDT 2 of execution fees. A separate 1.5 USDT Tron withdrawal remains payable even after zero-fee maker execution. Pionex’s observed Tron row lists 1 USDT; Ourbit distinguishes Tron, Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. The recipient must support the chosen chain. Finst crypto exits add network cost plus EUR 2.50, unlike its euro route. The USDT network guide and comparator help complete that assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Does 0% include every cost?

No. It describes the compared trading-fee row. Spread, slippage, conversion, payment methods and withdrawals remain separate, and a current schedule is not a permanent promise.

Can a futures rate be used to compare spot?

No. Futures charge on notional and may add funding, while spot buys the asset. This numerical list uses international USDT spot only, with labelled EUR alternatives outside the positions.

Can international pricing be applied to an EEA account?

Not automatically. An EEA product may have another entity, services and pricing. Reviews preserve those scopes; the ranking does not claim every international product is available to every visitor.
