Best of Gate

Global VIP 0 since the 9 April 2026 adjustment.

  • 0.100% maker and 0.100% taker.
  • With GT, 0.0900% and 0.0900%.

Areas to improve

The European site is another company and another document.

  • Gate Technology Limited, in Malta, is in the MiCA file. Its fee is not this row.
  • USDC/USDT is at 0% and that volume does not count toward VIP.

What we make of Gate and who it suits

Gate enters the international comparison through spot VIP 0: 0.100% maker and 0.100% taker from 9 April 2026, or 0.090% if the fee is paid in GT. The help example, a VIP 0 market sell, uses that 0.1% on the filled amount.

Someone who goes to www.gate.com/en-eu contracts with Gate Technology Limited, not with the generic text of the global site. We do not promise that both sites will accept you or that the GT discount is on in your account until the fee screen, once you are logged in, says so.

Review product terms and risks before trading.

One brand and a Maltese company

The agreement on www.gate.com is addressed to Gate and its affiliates. It does not pick one legal name for every account. Authorisation at that layer stays unverified.

Gate Technology Limited does have an ESMA row: LEI 984500D6A0F945BB5A15, The Core, Triq il-Wied ta’ l-Imsida, Msida, authorisation notified on 29 September 2025, website www.gate.com/en-eu. The file’s countries use the code EL for Greece and do not include Malta. The European rules cite an MFSA licence under MiCA, with a trading platform, exchange and custody. Its fee schedule has not been replaced by the global VIP.

Spot, GT and the zero pair

The comparable row is spot VIP 0. Maker and taker match at 0.100% until the level or GT payment splits them. From VIP 4 the announcement already shows a maker lower than the taker.

USDC/USDT sits outside that row: 0% and 0%, and the volume does not raise VIP. Futures had another adjustment in the same announcement and do not score on this spot ranking.

What changed on 9 April 2026

The announcement leaves VIP 0 as it was: 0.100% / 0.100%, and 0.0900% / 0.0900% with GT. VIP 1 stays at 0.0990% on each side. The change that day shows further up, where several VIP levels lose a zero maker.

The help page calculates the fee as amount times rate and only on the fill. A cancellation returns what did not execute. The general fee page did not show the table without a login on one reading; the announcement and the help example do fix the 0.1%.

Coming in on-chain and leaving with a network fee

Gate Learn says an on-chain deposit of a supported asset, with the right network and memo, carries no platform fee. If the transfer costs money, the cost is usually at the sending exchange or wallet.

A withdrawal does show a fee by asset and network. The agreement allows it to be changed. We do not document a Gate Technology Limited SEPA in this profile: it was not on the global pages used for the number.

Custody named only at the European entity

The European site’s rules include custody and administration of crypto-assets among Gate Technology Limited’s services, and they contemplate a third-party custodian. That is the www.gate.com/en-eu account.

The global agreement does not repeat that scheme with a company name. We do not claim that the main site’s account uses the same custodian or the same Maltese licence.

Which URL and which rate

Look at the signup domain. If it is the European path, the company is Gate Technology Limited and the fee has to be read on that product. If it is the global site, the published VIP 0 is 0.100%, subject to the session and to paying in GT.

Also confirm whether you trade USDC/USDT, because the trading fee there is zero and the volume does not raise your level. The withdrawal network is chosen for compatibility.

The same 0.100% as Class A

At VIP 0, leaving the order on the book or crossing it costs the same 0.100%. GT is the only discount on that row that the announcement prices. The ranking does not apply it, so someone who holds the token is not mixed with someone who does not.

KuCoin Class A publishes the same taker. The practical difference is KuCoin’s Classes B and C, which Gate does not use on this row, and that Gate does document the GT discount.

KuCoin, Bybit and Europe

The KuCoin and Gate comparison looks at Class A’s 0.10% against Gate’s 0.100%. Global Bybit is at 0.1000% only on crypto-to-crypto. MEXC, on the standard taker, sits at 0.05%.

The Europe ranking does not include Gate on MiCA fees because that table is not verified here. The international ranking uses the global VIP and explains Bybit’s place separately.

Exchange analysis

Gate

Trading fees

Gate’s announcement of 25 March 2026 keeps spot VIP 0, from 9 April 2026, at 0.100% maker and 0.100% taker. Paying with GT leaves that row at 0.0900% and 0.0900%. The help example of a VIP 0 market sell uses 0.1% on the fill. USDC/USDT is 0% and 0%, and that volume does not count toward the VIP level. The fee page asks for a session to see the account rate. The schedule of Gate Technology Limited on the European site is not copied into this figure.

Custody

The user agreement on www.gate.com speaks of Gate and its affiliates and does not name one company for the global account. Custody documented separately is that of Gate Technology Limited on www.gate.com/en-eu: the MFSA authorises it as a CASP and the ESMA file of 2 November 2026 records LEI 984500D6A0F945BB5A15, with a trading platform, exchange and custody. That entity does not, by itself, supply the global VIP rate in this profile.

Deposits and withdrawals

Gate Learn says a standard on-chain deposit of a supported asset carries no platform fee. The sender may pay the network at the origin. A withdrawal usually shows a fee by asset and network. The agreement allows Gate to change those fees and deduct them from the account. There is no European SEPA cost of Gate Technology Limited here.

Who may find it suitable?

Gate’s global VIP 0 stays at 0.100% from 9 April 2026. Gate Technology Limited operates the European site and we do not lend its fee as if it were the international one.

Our review of Gate

Gate publishes the same entry taker as Binance and KuCoin Class A, with a GT discount of one tenth. The global agreement does not say which company signs. The Maltese one is identified and authorised, and its fees have not been brought into this figure.
