Buying crypto
You can buy BNB through BNB/USDC on Bybit EU or BNB/USDT on LBank. Choose the payment asset before the destination: holding it on an exchange, withdrawing through BNB Smart Chain and using an application are separate steps.
BNB’s practical differences extend beyond the purchase. Its name can appear in an exchange balance, on BNB Smart Chain or on another network, while applications may use WBNB. This guide starts with two specific spot markets and follows the purchase towards a recognisable wallet balance. Starting with euros adds a USDC funding step to the European route: a USDC-denominated order is not a direct EUR purchase.
Both markets purchase BNB on spot, using different quote currencies.
Bybit EU lists BNB/USDC in its European spot directory. You spend USDC and receive BNB, with your budget expressed in that stablecoin. This is the European route used here rather than an international Bybit schedule attributed to the EEA product. Starting with money in a euro bank account adds the step of obtaining USDC before placing the order.
LBank publishes the international BNB/USDT spot market. An existing USDT balance can fund it; USDC holders need the appropriate market or a conversion first. Do not treat the two stablecoins as interchangeable inputs. The Bybit review and LBank review compare accounts and tools. For a further comparison of automation and token discounts, see Bybit vs Binance. A market listing identifies a product rather than guaranteeing identical funding methods for every account.

Funds need to be available in the pair’s quote currency and the balance used for trading.
For BNB/USDC, obtain USDC through a method supported by your account and check the net result before opening Spot. A credited EUR deposit does not mean you already hold USDC. An earlier purchase or conversion has its own price and charges; do not assume that one USDC equals one euro or that changing currency is free.
When transferring stablecoins from another platform, generate the correct asset’s receiving instructions first. Match a supported network at both ends and inspect minimums, address and outgoing charge. The funding network may differ from the one later used to withdraw BNB. Our USDT and USDC buying guide covers balance preparation; USDT transfer networks helps with the LBank route. Checking the quote currency early can prevent unnecessary back-and-forth conversions.
A spot purchase should create a BNB holding rather than a contract’s notional exposure.
Open Spot and find BNB/USDC on Bybit EU or BNB/USDT on LBank. Choose Buy, verify the asset you will spend and decide whether to enter BNB quantity or a stablecoin budget. For a market order, inspect the estimate and available depth. For a limit, set the maximum price and check the funds it will reserve before confirming.
Then review fills, average price, acquired amount and fee. A limit may remain partially open, so submitting the entire budget again can duplicate the original intention. A perpetual or margin trade does not provide the same free withdrawal balance and can introduce liquidation or financing. See market and limit orders and spot versus futures for those distinctions. Additional trading products are not required simply to acquire BNB.
Payment-asset preparation, order execution and moving the purchased coins have separate costs.
Bybit EU publishes a unified starting spot fee of 0.25%. LBank documents a 0.1–0.2% spot taker range with pair-specific details in its trading rules. That range does not establish one exact BNB/USDT rate. Review the effective trading fee alongside the cost of obtaining stablecoins and any withdrawal; a single execution percentage does not cover the whole route.
Hypothetical example: at a price of USDC 600 per BNB, a USDC 300 order buys 0.5 BNB gross. If a 0.25% fee is deducted from the acquired BNB, the charge would be 0.00125 BNB, leaving 0.49875 BNB. This price only illustrates the calculation and is not a current quote. Execution, rounding and fee collection can change the result. A later withdrawal charge must be deducted separately using its actual confirmation screen.
| Stage | Check |
|---|---|
| Payment balance | Obtaining USDC or USDT and any transfer |
| European purchase | Bybit EU starting spot fee: 0.25% |
| International purchase | LBank BNB/USDT effective pair rate within its range |
| Withdrawal and use | Exchange charge and gas for subsequent transactions |
Prepare the destination wallet network before choosing an outgoing channel.
In a compatible wallet, open BNB receipt on BNB Smart Chain, also called BSC. Copy the address from your own wallet, then check that the exchange enables BNB and that withdrawal channel. Some interfaces combine the network name with a BEP20 label: inspect the full network instead of relying on an abbreviation. Check the minimum and net BNB after the outgoing charge.
An address can begin with 0x, as on other Ethereum-compatible networks. That format does not establish that an Ethereum or opBNB transfer will credit BSC. For a new destination, a small test may help if it clears minimums and justifies two transfer charges. Save the transaction identifier and verify receipt before moving the remainder. A token contract found inside an application is not your personal receiving address.
A shared BNB name does not establish a shared balance, network or application function.
Native BNB pays gas on BNB Smart Chain. WBNB is its wrapped representation in a token format used by applications. Wrapping or unwrapping is another operation rather than a new spot purchase, and is unnecessary by default when the goal is simply holding BNB. Before interacting, establish the asset requested by the application and the expenditure you are authorising.
opBNB is a separate layer 2 network. BNB held on BSC does not automatically appear there; a bridge or supported withdrawal channel adds another route. The old BNB Beacon Chain was retired after BNB Chain Fusion, so historical BEP2 instructions are not a current route for a new purchase. For another asset’s network distinctions, compare Ethereum and its transfer layers. Choose around the intended destination rather than a network’s familiar address format.
Receiving BNB does not require connecting a protocol or approving a contract.
Transactions you sign on BSC pay gas in BNB. Keep some available if you intend to send tokens or use applications, and use the wallet’s estimate before signing. The operation affects the cost, so an example gas amount should not be treated as a fixed euro tariff. The exchange’s withdrawal charge remains a separate part of the journey.
For an application swap, inspect the asset spent, minimum received and requested permissions. A recovery phrase is not entered into a website to approve a transaction or claim a discount. Simply holding BNB does not require granting spending permissions. Our exchange versus wallet custody guide helps assess key control, while exchange account protection covers access while some holdings remain on the platform.
The useful next step depends on your reason for buying rather than the number of applications accepting it.
For holding, retain the amount spent, net coins and fee, then check the recovery arrangements for your chosen custody. For gas, confirm the balance is on the application’s network. Using BNB for another platform’s fees depends on that platform’s terms; buying through these markets does not automatically activate discounts across all accounts.
To return to euros, separate selling the coin from the bank withdrawal. BNB/USDT does not deliver EUR. Our selling and bank withdrawal guide follows that exit. For a different purpose, Cardano and ADA delegation and Dogecoin on its native network explain other routes. Choosing the use first avoids moving coins to a network that later requires more transfers to leave.
Review these points before taking the next step.
Small checks for a more considered decision.
BNB/USDC cannot spend USDT or EUR without a separate earlier operation.
A shared address format does not move balances between networks.
The wrapped representation and native balance have different functions.
Yes, subject to market minimums and precision. The USDC or USDT budget determines the gross amount at the execution price.
The European route explained here uses BNB/USDC. Starting with EUR requires preparing USDC and reviewing that earlier step’s cost.
No. Choose the destination supported by your wallet and do not assume a balance on one network is available on the other.
No. Holding native BNB does not require conversion to WBNB. Some applications use the wrapped format, which is a separate interaction.
