Confusing signup and issuance
Opening an account does not finish a card application.
Crypto cards
Use the application flow for your Bybit Card programme and prepare the balance before paying. This guide separates account verification, card issuance and the setup needed for a first purchase.
Bybit Card has its own application checks even if you already use the exchange. Start with your residence programme and prepare Funding before your first purchase.
You apply inside the account associated with your programme, rather than from an unrelated wallet.
Have access to your account email, phone and authenticator. Check the residence you will use and prepare an accepted identity document. Bybit EU may request address evidence issued within the last three months. Exchange accounts and card applications have their own checks.
For an EEA application, begin with Bybit EU. For Mexico or another international programme, use the corresponding account and card area. Do not select another country to expose a different product: the address determines the programme, and a European EUR card has different terms from a Mexican card.
In Bybit EU, open Finance → Card → Get Your Card. The international flow uses Finance → Card → Apply Now.
Select your country of residence and choose Verify for the requested checks. Submit a document type accepted on that screen and complete the address. If you already completed exchange KYC, still follow any additional card check: an earlier review does not mean the card application is finished.
Confirm your email and set up Google 2FA when requested. Review the details before submitting. If the programme asks for a card referral code, do not assume a general Bybit signup fills it or grants a bonus. In Mexico, the flow may request CURP and RFC where applicable; the details need to match your identity.
After approval, find the virtual card in the Card dashboard and view its details.
In Bybit EU, retrieve the number, expiry and CVV from the card dashboard for checkout on a Mastercard-compatible website. Check amount and currency before confirming. A merchant may request authentication through the Bybit EU app; return to its checkout afterwards to complete payment.
If the amount is pending, do not automatically pay again. An authorisation can reserve funds before settlement. Check history and available balance to distinguish a reservation from a failed purchase. Also review any shared limit between the programme’s virtual and physical cards.
Order the physical card after obtaining the virtual one and when your programme offers it.
In Finance → Card, open the physical-card application banner. Review the printed name, address and order cost. In the EU flow, the delivery address must correspond to the one used to verify the virtual card. Avoid submitting a temporary address on the assumption that you can edit it after dispatch.
When the card arrives, open card management and choose Activate. Follow the PIN and verification steps requested by your programme. The international flow uses the physical card’s CVV to confirm activation. Keep the plastic and PIN separately and check that the card is active before paying.
Check card spending power in its dashboard before adding more money.
For the EU product, review the Funding Account balance. If money sits elsewhere in Bybit, check that it is available to the card. Paying EUR from sufficient EUR separates a purchase from crypto conversion. If you need to sell an asset, compare the quote and its cost first.
The dashboard exposes limits and supported payment assets. Set their priority where available and confirm that a deposit has arrived. The crypto transfer guide helps check network and address before moving funds from another platform.
Open View Rewards from the Card dashboard to inspect pending and available points.
Enable Auto Cashback if you want available points to convert automatically into the selected asset. Conversion requires a points threshold, so an authorised purchase is different from an already-paid reward. In Bybit EU, ordinary eligible non-VIP spending earns 1% without a monthly cap.
Check points history and the corresponding Funding credit. Refunds can reverse points. Keep routine rewards, VIP terms and temporary campaigns separate: a first-month subscription rebate does not establish a repeating monthly benefit.
Use the fee schedule for the programme that issued your card rather than another region’s table.
In Europe, separate 0.9% crypto conversion, 0.5% currency conversion and ATM charges. Beyond €100 withdrawn monthly, Bybit EU’s 2% applies to the excess; an operator may add its own fee. Mexico has different currency and terms, including 2% FX.
After a transaction, compare authorisation, settlement and the remaining balance. For regular use, calculate costs on your usual purchases and cash withdrawals. The Bybit Card review brings the differences together, while applying for ether.fi Cash illustrates a different journey with a choice between spending a balance and borrowing.
Review these points before taking the next step.
