Sending SOL to Cash
Cash supports specified stablecoin deposits; use normal Solana receipt for SOL.

Phantom offers Google or Apple access as well as recovery-phrase wallets. Choose an access method you can maintain.
Install the official app or extension. If creating a recovery-phrase wallet, store the words offline and confirm the recovery arrangement before receiving funds. A password or biometric unlock protects local access; it is not by itself a recoverable wallet backup. For an existing wallet, use its original access method rather than accidentally creating a different address.
In the app, phrase-based creation is available under More Options; the extension documents Create a New Wallet and Create a Recovery Phrase Wallet. Do not reset a funded wallet just to reach those options. This guide uses the Solana token balance, without opening positions or activating other services. Exchange versus personal wallet helps decide what to keep under your control.
Phantom supports multiple networks. SOL and Solana tokens need that network’s address in the correct account.
Open the receive function and copy the Solana address or QR code. Current mobile documentation distinguishes Tokens from Cash; choose Tokens for this workflow. Check the network next to the address even if the app defaults to Solana. Do not use an EVM address from another account simply because both appear in Phantom.
Cash is a separate account with supported Solana stablecoin deposits converting into CASH. It is not the SOL destination or a neutral holding account for every token. To receive SOL or retain a compatible token as itself, use the chosen account’s normal Solana address. Buying Solana distinguishes purchasing the asset from other exposure.
The full route must be SOL on Solana to your Solana address. Recognising the asset name is not enough.
The exchange withdrawal charge and a later Phantom send fee are different costs. A SOL futures exposure is not necessarily withdrawable SOL. Exchanges for buying Solana compares entry platforms, while withdrawing to a wallet covers the pre-transfer checks.
Your Solana address can receive SOL and tokens on that chain. Tickers such as USDC and USDT also exist elsewhere.
| Received asset | Receiving route | Sending it onward |
|---|---|---|
| Native SOL | Solana address and Solana withdrawal | Retain SOL for the network fee |
| USDC or USDT on Solana | A route supporting that token on Solana | Normally SOL for the network cost |
| Representation on another chain | Do not reuse the Solana route | Check wallet, chain and asset separately |
If an exchange does not offer that token’s withdrawal on Solana, do not send it on Ethereum to the Solana address. Verify token identity too: a copied name or logo is not proof. When uncertain, check the token identifier and issuer against their documentation before interacting. Stablecoins explains differences affecting transfers.
Prepare the recipient instructions first. For an exchange, generate its current deposit details.
A new-address warning does not itself establish an error, but warrants checking the full recipient. An exchange deposit still has its own minimum and any additional requirements. Do not use a token contract as the recipient. A friend’s wallet receipt and exchange crediting can require different checks even on the same chain.
An ordinary Solana token send needs SOL. A stablecoin balance does not automatically cover the fee.
Network fees can include base and priority components; use the transaction estimate. Phantom documents gasless routes for some transactions, but they cannot be assumed for every send. No fixed fee or guaranteed transfer time is claimed here. When sending SOL, inspect the amount the wallet allows after accounting for fees and account conditions.
For an invalid-format error, check network and address. For insufficient-fee funds, inspect SOL in this account rather than another wallet. A watch-only account can display assets without signing capability; restore access through its original method. If the explorer confirms receipt but the balance is absent, check account, token and network before resetting the app or sending again.
A practical example without an invented price: receiving Solana USDC while holding no SOL can leave the token visible but an ordinary send unable to pay its fee. Arrange a compatible SOL receipt or inspect a gasless option if offered for that transaction. Total costs and security complete the workflow without confusing a fee problem with a lost balance.
Review these points before taking the next step.
Small checks for a more considered decision.

Receipt does not automatically fund later network fees.
Viewing an address does not establish signing control.
Your account’s Solana address can receive compatible tokens on that chain. The sender must use the Solana representation, not Ethereum or another network.
Check token and network, SOL for fees and account signing capability. A gasless route only helps when offered for that transaction.
No. Cash is separate and can convert supported deposits into CASH. To retain SOL or tokens in this workflow, use Tokens and the normal Solana address.
It cannot reverse a confirmed transaction. Check recipient, token and chain before signing and retain the hash for investigation.
