Best of SwissBorg
Strengths to compare
- The percentage exchange fee is the same across ranks.
- The programme distinguishes cashback from the exchange price.
Areas to improve
Relevant costs and limitations
- The liquidity adjustment is additional and variable.
- Cashback arrives in BORG, adding exposure to that token.
- The final transaction price is not captured by 0.99% alone.
Assessing an app-based purchase
SwissBorg is relevant to someone assessing an exchange workflow alongside loyalty rewards. Begin with net crypto received rather than a highlighted cashback percentage. A one-off buyer may find the immediate charge easier to evaluate than a rebate token’s future value. Frequent users can track each transaction’s charge and the BORG actually received. Neither workflow requires trading more merely to pursue a rank.
Review product terms and risks before trading.
Exchange with execution on external venues
BlockNodes’ policy describes execution through third-party venues and a real-time liquidity adjustment. This differs from choosing a maker order on a maker/taker book. Users assess an exchange quote and its components. Compare the same starting amount and asset at a similar time. Similar displayed prices can lead to different net receipts when charges are applied separately or liquidity changes. The fee-model guide explains these distinctions before combining incompatible percentages.
What a 0.99% fee means
The policy updated on 8 October 2026 states a 0.99% exchange fee across loyalty ranks. EUR 5 and EUR 120,000 describe minimum and maximum transaction sizes, not minimum and maximum fees. On a hypothetical EUR 1,000 base, the percentage component is EUR 9.90. The liquidity adjustment can change the overall cost. Repeated monthly purchases incur their own charges; a higher rank does not change the stated percentage. Cashback is assessed separately.
| Product or movement | Published terms |
|---|---|
| Exchange | 0.99%; transaction sizes EUR 5–120,000 |
| Liquidity adjustment | Variable; no fixed published percentage |
| Standard / Elite top 10 cashback | Up to 5% / up to 99% of the fee, in BORG |
Rebating the fee is not rebating the purchase
Standard may rebate up to 5% of the fee and Elite top 10 up to 99%, paid in BORG. For the hypothetical EUR 9.90 charge, 5% corresponds to EUR 0.495 as a reference, not EUR 50 from a EUR 1,000 purchase. At 99%, the reference would be EUR 9.801, subject to rank and programme terms. These illustrate scale rather than guarantee payment. BORG value can change before receipt or sale, so the rebate is not treated as guaranteed euro cash.
The policy describes daily conversion over seven days, weekly distribution and rewards locked in BORG Locking. This is not immediately available cash.
Why the final quote needs attention
The liquidity adjustment is variable and added to the price. The policy allows BlockNodes to retain amounts above its required margin but does not supply a fixed percentage for exact advance budgeting. No spread is invented to fill that gap. Compare the amount paid and net asset received before accepting. An order-book comparison also needs an executable price; a lower maker fee does not guarantee a fill. See the total-cost guide for separating quote, charges and funding.
Preparing funds and planning the exit
The policy lists free BlockNodes bank and crypto deposits; the sending bank or platform may charge. Fiat withdrawal costs 0.10% with currency-specific limits; EUR has a EUR 1.50 minimum and EUR 100 maximum. Crypto withdrawal combines gas and 0.1% execution, with asset/network limits. Check the total before confirming.
App balances and received BORG
The pricing policy used here belongs to BlockNodes. Holding a platform balance differs from controlling a personal wallet’s keys. A BORG rebate also adds an asset separate from the original purchase. Decide whether you want to retain that exposure or whether conversion would create another charged transaction. Avoid valuing the token at its most favourable price while ignoring conversion costs. The custody guide and security guide cover holding and access recovery.
Compare ranks without treating maximum cashback as certain savings
The same 0.99% remains across the policy’s ranks. Rank changes affect the BORG rebate rather than creating lower maker pricing. Compare initial fee, liquidity adjustment and actual tokens received. A maximum rebate does not establish that an account receives it or that its token value stays constant. Maintaining unwanted exposure to value a rank needs a separate decision. Occasional buyers may prefer predictable budgeting; existing BORG users may value a rebate without treating it as guaranteed cash. The policy separates these use cases rather than forcing one recommendation.
A quote comparison that supports a decision
For a hypothetical EUR 500 purchase, choose the same asset and compare final units received. Put separately charged and quote-embedded components on the same net basis. Do not count an included adjustment twice or omit it because it lacks a conventional fee line. Add the intended exit and keep BORG rebates separate. This is more informative than comparing 0.99% with an order book’s minimum VIP rate. Results can vary with asset, size and liquidity, so no universal price advantage is claimed.
Comparing convenience, quotes and actual use
Bitpanda offers another buying approach, while Kraken and Bitvavo provide order-book references. Maximum cashback does not establish a winner. Occasional buyers should compare net receipts; users who already want BORG can assess fee, adjustment and rebate separately. SwissBorg may fit when that combination meets a concrete need, without treating every additional product or rank as a reason to deposit more capital.
Who may find it suitable?
SwissBorg combines app-based crypto exchange with a BORG cashback programme. Assessing it requires separating the 0.99% exchange fee, the liquidity adjustment and the value of the token rebate.
Our review of SwissBorg
SwissBorg is better assessed as an app-based exchange workflow than as a maker/taker venue. Cashback may appeal to someone who already wants BORG, but it belongs in a separate calculation from the initial charge and liquidity adjustment. The net quote matters more than the maximum rebate percentage.
