Bybit EU offers direct buying, Bitvavo lets you fund euros before trading and Kraken includes cards in its simple buying flow. Compare the amount received and when it can be withdrawn: an order-book trading rate alone does not describe any of these payments.

Choose by the way you want to pay
A card can solve an immediate purchase, but similar buttons can hide two products. One takes a euro payment and delivers the crypto amount in a quote. The other funds a balance before you choose a book and submit an order. Bybit EU fits the first comparison; Bitvavo provides the second. Kraken adds a simple-buy alternative. If you already use limit orders, paying to fund a book may give you more price control; if you want one confirmation, consider a direct quote.
This ranking is about paying with your bank card, not applying for a crypto spending card. It does not compare futures either: a leveraged position does not deliver a coin you can withdraw. For the complete first-purchase workflow, see buying bitcoin with euros.

Bybit EU: card processing and quote pricing are separate
Bybit EU publishes card charges by issuing region: the EU Visa/Mastercard reference is 1.10%, separate from non-EU rates and mobile wallets. That schedule does not turn One-Click into a 0.25% spot trade. One-Click includes its own time-dependent spread. Review the breakdown and delivered amount before deciding whether this route is worthwhile compared with bank-funded euros.
Brand-level support does not mean every product accepts the same cards. The European route requires an individual account and personal card; Austria’s exclusion is specific to this feature. International Bybit has its own flow and billing currency. The Bybit review keeps the two offerings separate.
Bitvavo: pay to fund, then choose the trade
Bitvavo separates account funding from execution. Its schedule lists 1% for card funding, while the later order uses the relevant book’s tier. For an ordinary EUR book, the entry tier is 0.15% maker and 0.25% taker. A limit order crossing an offer can be taker: the order’s name does not guarantee maker pricing.
As a component example, a €200 funding base at 1% produces a €2 funding charge. A later €200 fill at 0.25% produces another €0.50. This is not a promise of a €202.50 all-in purchase: the screen determines whether charges are added or deducted from the balance, and execution may have a different notional.
Kraken: simple buying and withdrawal timing
A direct Kraken card purchase displays a fee and may include a spread. Comparing it with Kraken Pro purely on the book rate would be misleading. There is also EEA EUR debit funding at 3.75% plus €0.25: that funds a balance and is not a universal fee for every card purchase. Bybit vs Kraken explains the different modes.
If you need to send coins to a wallet today, payment speed is not enough. Kraken may impose a 72-hour withdrawal hold; check the condition on your transaction before buying. If the purchase will stay on the account, that distinction may matter less than the final price.
When a card makes sense instead of a bank transfer
For a small occasional purchase, convenience can be weighed alongside the delivered amount. For repeated buying, a recurring funding charge can outweigh trading savings. Check the billing currency too: if your card settles in another currency, the issuer may convert it and add a charge. The total-cost guide helps organise those items without double counting.
Start with Bybit EU for a direct quote, compare Bitvavo for a funded balance and order control, or review Kraken if you already use its simple buying flow. If you can wait for funding, the SEPA exchange ranking compares the bank route. The funding guide explains which details to check first.
Frequently asked questions
Does the spot fee include a card payment?
No. A card can fund cash or pay for a direct quote. Separate processing, trading and spread; do not apply a Pro or book rate to simple buying.
Can I withdraw the purchase immediately?
It depends on the transaction. A credited purchase can have a withdrawal hold, including Kraken’s possible 72-hour hold. Also check the asset’s network and minimum.
Do Visa or Mastercard guarantee euro billing?
No. Currency depends on the flow, account and chosen option. Compare billing in your card’s currency and any issuer conversion as well as the coins received.
