Binance vs Bitget

Binance and Bitget both start at 0.10% maker and taker on standard spot. Binance offers 25% off when paying with BNB, while Bitget documents 20% with BGB; automation, copying and your funding route also shape the choice.

Spot: maker, taker and buying

Regular user: 0.10% maker and taker. With BNB fee payment: 0.075%/0.075%. The special USDC taker rate is not the standard rate.

Spot VIP 0: 0.10%/0.10% maker/taker. With BGB payment: 0.08%/0.08%. Coin, region and campaigns may change the rate.

Discounts and tiers

BNB payment discounts spot fees by 25%. VIP 1 requires at least USD 1,000,000 of volume and 5 BNB; it is not a new-account tier.

BGB reduces spot/margin fees by 20% when applicable. On USDT 1,000 at 0.1%, the saving would be USDT 0.20 before other costs.

Which fits the way you trade?

The choice depends on what you want to do, rather than a single fee.

Copy portfolios

Bitget offers copying modes and a portfolio migration that requires reviewing the account’s actual controls.

Equal starting spot rates, different token discounts

Without discounts, both ordinary spot references are 0.10% maker and taker. This supports a like-for-like order comparison without substituting a pair promotion or minimum VIP rate for a new account’s fee. Binance has specific conditions for certain markets and Bitget directs users to its live schedule, so check the intended pair before budgeting.

Binance publishes a 25% reduction when paying fees with BNB, bringing that row to 0.075%. Bitget documents a 20% BGB discount, reducing 0.10% to 0.08%. Both depend on using a token rather than being unconditional base rates. The Binance review and Bitget review explain the modes. This comparison concerns international products; reading it from Europe does not turn their figures into a European product schedule.

What the discount changes on a USDT 1,000 order

For USDT 1,000 notional, 0.10% equals USDT 1 per execution on either platform. Under the cited discount conditions, Binance with BNB equates to USDT 0.75 and Bitget with BGB to USDT 0.80. The difference between those discounts is USDT 0.05 for that execution, not an automatic reason to move a portfolio. The fee may be collected in the relevant token under account rules.

For a purchase and sale, calculate both sides using their respective notionals. Acquiring BNB or BGB can add a trade and token price exposure. An occasional buyer should assess whether the absolute saving justifies that step; frequent traders should use their actual volume and tier. Our total-cost guide includes funding and withdrawals, while maker, taker and spread explains why this discount is not the same measure as an instant-buy quote.

Automating purchases is different from copying a trader

Binance documents Auto-Invest, Spot Grid and Spot DCA. Scheduled buying targets accumulation; a grid trades within configured range parameters; DCA has its own entry and exit rules. Before starting a tool, understand the balance committed and what happens outside its intended conditions. A bot does not remove the fees on its executions or guarantee a positive outcome.

Bitget’s copying modes instead make allocation, the trader’s markets and exit rules central to the experience. This is not simply another form of scheduled buying. Our copy-trading guide covers ratios, margin and execution differences. If the goal is only buying and holding a coin, a manual spot order may solve the task with fewer decisions than a copy portfolio or an automated strategy. Choose the workflow before assessing its advertised performance.

Check Bitget’s current copy portfolio rather than an old screen

Bitget announced a batch migration of futures copying to elite portfolios starting on 1 November 2026. The configuration actually present in your account matters more than a screenshot of the previous version. Its notice separates retained preferences from controls needing review and identifies protection features not yet supported in the newly announced format.

Check the allocated balance, copying mode, leverage and how you would stop following. Do not attribute the old TP/SL ratios or Equity Guardian to a new portfolio without inspecting the current controls. For manual traders, the migration does not replace the ordinary spot order and fee comparison. Account protection remains relevant whether you place orders yourself or authorise strategies and external connections. Copying also requires understanding what happens to existing positions when the following relationship changes.

Deposits, withdrawals and compatible transfer networks

Binance and Bitget document crypto deposits without a platform charge; the sending service may charge for the transfer. Withdrawal costs depend on the asset and network and should be reviewed before confirmation. There is no universal transfer price proving either platform cheaper for every coin. Check the minimum and the net amount reaching the receiving destination as well.

When starting with euros, inspect your account’s available fiat channel rather than confusing it with crypto deposit pricing. Bitget’s individual-account table includes instant SEPA conditions, which should not be extended to every payment method or market. Our exchange transfer guide helps prepare the route, while TRC20, ERC20 and BNB Chain explains stablecoin network choices. Matching the USDT symbol is not sufficient to establish that the receiving network can credit a payment.

Futures, API access or a straightforward purchase routine

Bitget publishes ordinary futures references of 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. These apply to notional and are separate from funding and copy conditions. Binance also offers derivatives, but its spot schedule cannot price those contracts. Do not apply a spot BNB discount to a contract entry or exit, or budget the whole position from the margin deposited.

For custom automation, Binance documents a spot API with separate trading and data permissions. Granting access does not make a strategy profitable and does not mean every connection needs withdrawal permission. For a simpler goal, buying Solana and buying Ethereum illustrate market identification, execution and destination checks. Those guides’ pairs belong to the platforms named there, rather than automatically establishing the Binance or Bitget inventory.

Choose Binance or Bitget around the tool you need

For ordinary spot without tokens, the starting fee is tied. Under the documented discounts, Binance has a small percentage advantage over the cited BGB option, while the absolute saving depends on volume and the funding route. Binance is worth considering for accumulation and automated spot strategies; Bitget for its copy portfolios when you understand and can manage the current controls.

For manual buying, compare the same pair, an equivalent order and the net balance after withdrawal. For futures or copying, include notional, closing, funding and following conditions. Those products are not necessary for buying coins. To introduce a third alternative, read Bybit vs Binance and Bybit vs Bitget, which distinguish international Bybit from Bybit EU. A feature you will actually use matters more than a collection of unrelated promotions and tools.

How to make the decision

  1. Define the trade

Buying and withdrawing coins, margined contracts and copying require different products.

  2. Calculate the whole journey

Add opening and closing execution where applicable, funding and moving money; use the rate for your trading mode.

  3. Choose the tools you need

Compare orders, capital controls, API permissions or demo practice according to how you trade.

The decision depends on how you trade.
