Buying altcoins or trading contracts
Both platforms offer spot and margined products, but first decide what should be delivered. Spot provides coins; a future maintains notional exposure. For a particular altcoin, verify the actual market, quote currency and compatible exit before funding. Catalogue size does not establish equal depth across books or universal withdrawal support.
The documented international products form this comparison. Their terms do not automatically apply to a European version, and visiting a brand does not establish every service’s availability. The LBank and Bitget reviews expand their workflows. LBank vs MEXC examines another altcoin choice by product and executable price.
Pair-specific rates versus a BGB discount
Bitget’s spot reference is 0.10% maker and taker; eligible BGB fee payment can reduce it to 0.08%. LBank documents market-dependent ranges of 0–0.20% maker and 0.10–0.20% taker. The minimum is not every altcoin’s price. Inspect LBank’s pair Trading Rules and Bitget’s actual product and account rate.
Hypothetical example: on USDT 1,000, Bitget at 0.10% charges USDT 1 per fill, or 0.80 at 0.08%. That saves 0.20 before obtaining BGB. A LBank taker fill within the stated range costs USDT 1–2 without assigning a particular pair’s rate. Price and depth can outweigh that gap; compare net tokens at equal size and timing.
Manual futures and notional-based costs
Bitget’s ordinary futures reference is 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. LBank separates contracts and terms, with documented manual ranges of 0–0.02% maker and 0–0.10% taker. Campaign or VIP minima do not replace the selected contract rate. Also establish whether collateral is USDT, another stablecoin or the contract coin.
With USDT 100 margin supporting 1,000 notional, a 0.06% taker rate charges 0.60 on 1,000 rather than 0.06 on 100. Entry and exit can both be charged, while funding depends on contract and holding period. Spot and futures and funding explain why entry rate alone is insufficient.
LBank FCT and Bitget copying portfolios
LBank FCT uses a separate subaccount funded from spot, with Smart or per-order modes, amounts, multipliers and limits. Its documented copying VIP 0 rate is 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker, without automatically inheriting a higher VIP tier. Leader sharing and funding are separate. Manual-account pricing should not simply be assigned to FCT.
Bitget documents fixed-margin and fixed-ratio modes and a phased move to elite portfolios from November 2026. Inspect the controls available in the actual version, including whether TP/SL ratios and Equity Guardian are supported. An old setting need not survive a system change. The copy-trading guide covers size, unfollowing and results after costs.
Before allocating copying capital, decide what should remain outside the strategy and how its balance will be checked. Funding a subaccount and executing a copied order are separate steps: transferred money does not ensure every leader instruction will execute at your size. When unfollowing, inspect the product’s treatment of existing positions rather than assuming that stopping new entries closes all exposure. Evaluate results after execution fees, funding and applicable profit sharing. Another trader’s past performance is neither a guaranteed income nor a cost discount, and a copied position can differ in entry price or size.
Funding, API and additional-feature usefulness
Both document crypto deposits without their own fee, although sending can cost money. Fiat funding depends on provider, method and product; Bitget’s individual-account SEPA terms are not universal across regions or third parties. Crypto exits require checking asset, network, charge and net receipt. Cheapness does not establish recipient compatibility.
LBank also offers external API connections and a separately conditioned card. Order-only integrations do not inherently need withdrawal permissions, and a card does not turn a spot execution fee into cashback. Buying SUI and buying TRX apply LBank’s USDT workflow. Transfers explains funding without mixing spot and margin balances.
Common LBank and Bitget questions
Does LBank always have the lowest spot fee? No; it depends on pair and execution. Does BGB reduce every Bitget charge? The stated reduction applies to eligible products and conditions rather than every fee or withdrawal.
Does copying share manual trading’s balance and fees? Not necessarily; LBank FCT has separate funding and pricing. Do free crypto deposits eliminate transfer cost? No; the sender and network can charge even when the recipient adds no deposit fee.
Choose by market and trading mode
Bitget can fit a clear spot reference and interest in eligible BGB payment or its copying mode. LBank deserves attention when the desired pair’s pricing and exit fit the budget, or when separating manual trading and FCT is useful. Neither conclusion assumes greater liquidity or better outcomes without market-specific evidence.
Compare equal pair, size and funding route, then assess whether additional tools serve the goal or add unnecessary steps. Low fees and futures broaden product selection; total cost prevents a small discount from hiding a larger exit expense.
