Binance vs KuCoin

Binance and KuCoin Global share a 0.10% comparable class-A spot reference. KuCoin separates other classes, while Binance offers optional BNB fee payment. Actual markets, automation and exits matter more than the isolated tie.

Spot: maker, taker and buying

Regular user: 0.10% maker and taker. With BNB fee payment: 0.075%/0.075%. The special USDC taker rate is not the standard rate.

VIP 0: class A 0.10%/0.10% maker/taker; B 0.20%/0.20%; C 0.30%/0.30%. Identify the pair’s class.

Discounts and tiers

BNB payment discounts spot fees by 25%. VIP 1 requires at least USD 1,000,000 of volume and 5 BNB; it is not a new-account tier.

Bots: grid, DCA and automation

Auto-Invest schedules accumulation; Spot Grid trades a range; Spot DCA uses price deviations and exit parameters. They are different strategies.

DCA sets amount and frequency with an optional total cap; new purchases go to Funding Account. Spot Grid uses a range, orders and capital, with realised and unrealised results.

API and connections

Spot API with separate TRADE and USER_DATA permissions. Trading is not enabled by default on a key; grant only the permissions needed.

Deposits and fiat methods

Crypto deposits without a Binance fee. The sending platform or wallet may charge the transfer.

Reference fiat table: individual SEPA EUR 1 incoming and EUR 1 outgoing. The transaction’s live system figure takes precedence.

Withdrawals

Each crypto withdrawal charges a fixed fee for the chosen network, varying by asset/network and shown on screen.

Crypto withdrawal minimum and fee are shown per asset and network. The reference fiat table lists individual outgoing SEPA at EUR 1.

Assets and transfer networks

A fixed withdrawal charge covers the network, varies by asset and blockchain and can change. The screen shows the current fee.

The withdrawal screen specifies minimum and fee by asset and network. An incompatible network can lose the transfer.

Platforms and differences in use

Spot orders versus quoted conversion; bots and API add automation while the market and its fees still need checking.

Manual spot, DCA and Spot Grid solve different tasks: execute now, accumulate over time or trade a range.

Custody

Announced custody: Nest Clearing and Custody Limited.

The global contract does not name one company. KuCoin EU is a different entity.

The choice depends on what you want to do, rather than a single fee.

Global versus Global: the compared products

This comparison uses Binance international spot and KuCoin Global. KuCoin EU has its own entity and terms; global class pricing is not its European schedule. Quoted conversion, order trading and margined products also differ within a brand. Spot ownership should not be confused with a contract position when the goal is withdrawing coins.

The Binance and KuCoin reviews expand products and workflows. Verify the intended pair in the actual service and the balance and network needed afterwards. Holding an account with a brand does not make every market across its versions the same offering.

The 0.10% tie ends when the class changes

Binance lists 0.10% maker and taker for regular users on standard spot. KuCoin Global VIP 0 applies 0.10% to class A, 0.20% to B and 0.30% to C on each side. Calling every KuCoin pair 0.10% would hide a meaningful altcoin difference. Identify the market’s class before comparing discounts or budgeting an instruction.

Hypothetical USDT 1,000 example: one Binance standard or KuCoin class-A fill costs USDT 1, versus 2 in class B and 3 in C. These are rate calculations excluding spread and slippage. A better executable price can change net output. A crossing limit can still be taker; the instruction’s name does not establish its execution role.

BNB payment and special pricing

Eligible BNB fee payment reduces Binance’s reference to 0.075% through the 25% discount. On USDT 1,000 that is 0.75, saving 0.25 against 0.10%. Obtaining and holding BNB has costs and exposure rather than being requirement-free. VIP minima likewise do not describe every new account’s pricing.

Binance also lists separate USDC-pair terms, which should not become a universal rate or be compared with a different KuCoin market. Inspect the effective account charge on both platforms. Buying BNB covers acquisition, while low-fee platforms compares products without turning optional discounts into universal benefits.

DCA and grid solve different tasks

Binance distinguishes Auto-Invest, Spot Grid and Spot DCA. Time-based accumulation differs from trading a range or buying price deviations with exit rules. Define the goal before copying settings: a range can stop fitting when price leaves it, while a recurring plan can continue after the budget changes.

KuCoin DCA supports amount, frequency and an optional accumulated cap, with documentation distinguishing the Funding balance receiving new purchases. Spot Grid uses a range, capital and orders with realised and unrealised results. Compare final coins, open operations and execution charges rather than only a bot-profit figure. The order guide explains the underlying instructions.

Splitting a purchase into orders does not remove a percentage charge. Four hypothetical USDT 250 fills at 0.10% total USDT 1 if rate and combined notional stay constant; class C at 0.30% totals 3. What can change is each fill’s price, any unfilled amount and the cost of later separate withdrawals. A DCA balance should therefore not be read as a grid-profit figure. Measure accumulation and execution for the chosen goal, then check whether the resulting asset is in a trading, bot or funding balance before planning the next transfer.

Fund, connect tools and withdraw

Binance documents crypto deposits without its own charge and a changeable fixed withdrawal fee for the chosen coin and network. KuCoin displays asset- and chain-specific minima and exit fees. A SEPA reference from another product does not replace the method available in the account. For EUR funding, compare conversion and crediting through deposits and withdrawals.

For external automation, Binance separates API permissions such as TRADE and USER_DATA; an order or read-only connection need not receive withdrawal access. Wallet exits require a network supported at both ends. LINK and PEPE illustrate contracts and gas, while ADA follows a different native route.

Binance and KuCoin questions

Do both always charge 0.10%? No; that compares Binance standard with KuCoin Global VIP 0 class A, while B and C differ. Does global KuCoin pricing apply to KuCoin EU? No; entity and product terms are separate.

Does a bot avoid fees? No; its fills follow product rules. Does BNB payment remove every cost? No; the cited spot reduction does not replace gas, withdrawal, spread or holding the token.

Choose by class, strategy and exit

Binance can fit when its standard pair, optional BNB payment and automation modes serve the goal. KuCoin Global is worth comparing for a desired market and DCA or grid controls, with its fee class identified. Neither brand receives assumed depth or performance advantages without market-specific evidence.

The final decision combines executable quote, effective charge and a workable exit. Bybit vs Binance and KuCoin vs Gate provide alternatives. For one purchase, start with the asset guide and calculate the complete route before selecting a tool that adds unnecessary operations.

How to make the decision

  1. Define the trade

Buying and withdrawing coins, margined contracts and copying require different products.

  2. Calculate the whole journey

Add opening and closing execution where applicable, funding and moving money; use the rate for your trading mode.

  3. Choose the tools you need

Compare orders, capital controls, API permissions or demo practice according to how you trade.

The decision depends on how you trade.
