Buying crypto
Buy XLM with USDC on Bybit EU or USDT on international Bybit and LBank. The purchase workflow is straightforward; receipt requires checking the address and any memo required by the destination.
XLM is Stellar’s native asset, distinct from third-party tokens issued on the network. This follows spot buying and subsequent transfer without turning payment use into a price or return promise. A practical distinction is that some services share receiving addresses between customers and require additional routing details; copying only part of those details can prevent correct crediting.
European USDC and international USDT are separate routes.
Bybit EU lists XLM/USDC. International Bybit shows XLM/USDT trading and LBank’s public list includes that pair. Euro funding requires preparing the quote currency and counting that step; XLM listing does not prove a EUR pair on every account. Quoted or card buying has separate terms rather than automatically using the order-book fee.
The Bybit and LBank reviews compare accounts and tools. LBank versus Bybit covers funding choices, while the spot ranking explains execution. Buying XLM for sending calls for spot rather than accidental borrowing or contracts. Received and available coins are what can subsequently be withdrawn.

To compare providers before following these steps, where to buy XLM separates funding, execution and recipient requirements.
An XLM memo is not a field to copy into every stablecoin deposit.
The European pair needs available USDC. For XLM/USDT prepare USDT using that asset’s deposit instructions and chain rather than saved XLM details. Buying USDT and USDC covers preparation. For exchange-to-exchange funding compare sender charge, recipient minimum and net amount, checking support for the same representation at both ends.
After crediting, check whether funds are available to Spot or require an internal transfer. LBank USDT deposits distinguishes a pending deposit from funds in another account section. Do not repeat a purchase because an earlier limit reserves money; inspect open orders and fills first. The funding currency does not determine the chain used to withdraw XLM later.
Verify fills and quantity, not just order submission.
Market seeks available offers; limit sets an accepted maximum but can remain open or partially fill. A crossing limit is not guaranteed maker. For a planned transfer, first establish available coins, then calculate withdrawal cost. Market and limit explains the distinction, while total cost connects buying and exit without relying on an invented live price.
Exchange charges differ from account reserves.
Bybit EU’s entry spot reference is 0.25%, while international VIP 0 crypto spot is 0.10%. Each product keeps its terms. Inspect LBank XLM/USDT rules for the current maker/taker fee rather than promising a universal minimum. Add funding, withdrawal and later sends. An exchange’s XLM exit charge need not equal the network fee for a simple transaction.
Hypothetically, XLM at USDC 0.20 and a USDC 100 fill produce 500 gross XLM. A 0.25% fee in received coins costs 1.25 XLM, leaving 498.75. This is not a live quote. Before withdrawing inspect receipt after the exit charge and the destination account’s required balance; not every received coin necessarily becomes immediately spendable.

Copy recipient details without inventing identifiers.
An ordinary Stellar account uses a G address. A custodian can additionally require a memo to identify a customer within a pooled account. Type matters: an ID number and text are not interchangeable. Copy the recipient’s exact value. An on-chain transaction can reach the address without being credited to the intended customer if the required routing detail is absent.
Muxed M accounts embed routing information but are not supported by every wallet or exchange. Do not manually replace M with G or invent a memo to bypass a format error. Obtain supported receiving details and follow the required fields. Personal wallets do not necessarily require a memo; the requirement belongs to the destination rather than every Stellar transfer.
Select Stellar and a compatible recipient.
Generate XLM receiving details and open exchange withdrawal. Select Stellar when supported for that exit, enter address and any required memo, then inspect minimum, charge and net. The spot market does not establish every bridged representation’s support. A test must respect receiving conditions too; an undersized amount may not activate a new account.
Inspect the transaction ID, recipient and memo in available records. For confirmed delivery without account credit, retain those details for recipient support rather than automatically resending. Exchange transfers and wallet withdrawals explain tracking. Buying XRP provides another tagging example without reusing its addresses or rules as Stellar instructions.
Total balance is not always spendable balance.
Stellar requires a minimum account balance, with additional entries potentially changing reserve needs. Inspect the wallet before attempting to send everything. Native XLM does not require a trustline in the way issued assets do; adding a similarly named token does not replace receiving lumens. Fees use XLM. Native sending does not require ETH or an EVM token-contract destination.
For a recipient needing 100 XLM, first establish whether the withdrawal screen asks for sent or received quantity and account for the charge where needed. A new account also has its minimum-balance condition; the payment amount need not become entirely spendable. A memo provides routing rather than changing these quantities. With an incorrect memo, an explorer can show successful delivery while a service cannot assign it to the intended customer. Retain the transaction details and follow the recipient’s support procedure without assuming recovery is guaranteed. Do not attempt to correct a confirmed transaction by sending another one with a guessed identifier: obtain the actual receiving instructions before any further transfer.
Check receiving details again for the next transfer.
Retain purchase costs and withdrawal records, but verify recipient address and memo again before another deposit. One account’s memo should not be reused for another person or platform. Altcoin exchanges broadens platform selection and buying Solana illustrates another receiving network. The purpose is understanding practical differences rather than treating XLM as a universal funding route for every exchange.
Review these points before taking the next step.
Small checks for a more considered decision.
Include a memo when required by the recipient.
It does not replace your account identifier.
Obtain details supported by the workflow.
It depends on the recipient; use the required type and value.
Only when the workflow supports muxed accounts and the recipient provides that address.
Native Stellar transfers pay fees in XLM.
