How we build this selection

We assess platforms for obtaining UNI to hold or deliver, separately from Uniswap protocol functions.

Bybit retains existing commercial priority. The order does not claim its fee or net purchase cost is below every alternative.

Methodology →Transparency →
  • UNI identity

Buy the token without confusing it with swaps or a liquidity position.

  • Funded currency

Distinguish direct EUR from prepared USDC or USDT.

  • Comparable execution

Measure fee and price for the same budget without assumed discounts.

  • Delivery and gas

Compatible network, withdrawal charge and ETH for an Ethereum destination.

Choose an account for UNI, not a different service

Uniswap can mean the exchange protocol or the UNI token. This ranking compares where to acquire the latter. These books do not require opening a liquidity position or connecting a wallet to a DEX. For later application use, separate which account delivers UNI at a suitable total cost from which network the wallet needs.

The quote asset changes preparation. EUR fits bank funding, USDC fits the selected Bybit EU product and USDT fits LBank. Trading percentages alone omit the cost of obtaining that balance. Sending a stablecoin elsewhere is not automatically more efficient than using an account already funded.

Bybit EU: UNI with USDC and a spot order

UNI/USDC appears in the current European directory. It allows choosing purchase size and price without using a UNI derivative. The EU entry reference is 0.25% maker and taker. A limit can control the accepted price but does not itself reduce that rate; it may remain unfilled if no offer matches.

With USDC available, assess execution there before acquiring another quote asset. Starting with EUR adds USDC preparation and any payment-method costs. The Bybit review distinguishes EU and international products; this comparison does not assign a global fee or infer withdrawal networks from the pair.

Bitvavo: buying UNI directly with euros

UNI/EUR is active in category A. At the entry tier, an €800 notional fill would represent €1.20 maker or €2 taker. These are hypothetical execution calculations, not token quotes. Maker pricing requires adding liquidity; a limit consuming an offer can pay taker. For equal budgets, also compare actual UNI filled.

Asset information identifies ETH as the transfer network and showed transfers enabled at the check. That gives a concrete basis for assessing ERC-20 delivery, while final fees and minimums still need checking when withdrawing. Trading and withdrawal charges are different; a small purchase may be more sensitive to the latter.

LBank: using an existing USDT balance

UNI/USDT acquires the token using funds already on LBank. The published spot taker band is 0.10–0.20%, without automatically assigning the lower end to this pair. On a 400 USDT fill, that reference represents 0.40–0.80 USDT. Check the pair’s rate and add funding and withdrawal before comparing another account.

Network and gas: what changes when UNI leaves the exchange

Ethereum UNI is an ERC-20 with a contract shortened here to 0x1f98…F984. The UNI buying guide retains the complete contract and receiving checks. A representation on another network needs its own contract and compatibility review; a shared symbol does not make every deposit equivalent.

Moving UNI on Ethereum needs ETH for gas. Buying UNI does not automatically provide that ETH, a liquidity position or swap fees to the holder. Simply holding it requires no application permissions. For self-custody, compare delivered UNI and prepared gas rather than only the balance shown after the spot trade.

Which platform fits your UNI purchase?

Bybit EU fits prepared USDC; Bitvavo provides a euro comparison and documented Ethereum delivery; LBank uses USDT without a preliminary transfer. For wallet delivery, compare net tokens after withdrawal and prepare ETH. For holding on the account, assess execution and custody without adding an unnecessary bridge.

Frequently asked questions

Must I use Uniswap to buy UNI?

No. The three selected exchanges have spot token markets. Using the DEX protocol is a separate operation.

Which alternative buys UNI with euros?

Bitvavo offers UNI/EUR. The compared Bybit EU market is UNI/USDC, while LBank uses UNI/USDT.

Can I transfer Ethereum UNI without ETH?

An ERC-20 transfer from your wallet needs ETH gas. The exchange withdrawal charge is a separate cost.
